Kate Themel’s Work Featured in MQU Magazine

SAQA-CT artist Kate Themel shares her creative process making fabric portraits in the current issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited (MQU) magazine.  The article includes several color photos of finished portraits and work in progress.

Kate’s newest portrait can also be found in this issue, as part of the MQU 2012 Seasons Challenge.  Her quilt is included in the winter category and is based on a photo of her son in a snowsuit (see image above).
