Entries for Co-opARTtive Fiesta Juried Art Show – Deadline Tomorrow Oct. 2nd

You’re not too late to be part of the Downtown Willimantic Co-opARTive Fiesta!Co_opARTiveFiesta_LOGO

For the juried show:

All entries will be received on October 2, 2010, 12-4 pm

at Nassiff’s, 745 Main Street, Willimantic.

Registration Fee: $20 entry fee. Waived for members of Arts Organizations and Co-ops.  There is a 10% donation to WRI on all sales.  All work must be for sale, unless marked NFS.

Display & Installation:  All work must be ready to hang and stay for the duration of the show.  We request that artists provide easels or podiums to display work.   Each artist will be allowed space equivalent to an area the size of an easel, or 2 pieces.   Labels must be attached to the back of each entry, and all work must be ready to hang.

Awards:  Best in Show–$250; Two Awards of Excellence–$100; One Honorable Mention–$50. One People’s Choice Award — $100 Gift Certificate to The Lily Pad.

To sell your original work in a booth at the Fiesta:

Entries will be accepted until October 4th, 2010

Registration fee of $25.00  Fee is waived for members of art-specific organizations. (Include the name of your co-op, collaborative, alliance, or other member-based art organization.)  Please bring registration to: Zok’s Homebrewing, 18 North Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.

Make all checks payable to: Willimantic Renaissance, Inc (WRI). Please include a full list and photo(s) of what you intend to sell.

Freewill Gallery

Just show up at 866 Main St, 2nd floor, on October 8th between 5 and 10 pm.  All pieces must be ready to be hung by the artist, in the order of first come, first hung.  We request that artists provide easels or podiums to diplay their work.  One piece per artist, 18 years old and over.  There is no charge for showing in the Freewill Gallery, but everything is for sale, and the Fiesta gets a 15% commission.

Democratic Sidewalks

Just show up at Nassiff’s, 745 Main Street, anytime on October 9th and we’ll direct you to a good spot to set your chair, easel, table, and show off whatever it is you do.  Art, music, poetry are welcome.  2 open mic areas with electricity will be available. First come, first to perform.
