Students will explore surface design and learn the improvisational method of piecing as they create collages, wall hangings, note cards using fabrics from around the world. This workshop is a plus for anyone who uses fabrics for clothing, quilts, wall hangings and pillows. The instructor will have available for inspiration unique fabric samples from her private collection.
Students are encouraged to bring fabrics to share with the class.  
Tuition $200.00

More about ED JOHNETTA MILLER:

Ed Johnetta Miller is a fiber artist, teacher, independent curator, Arts Management Envoy from the U.S. to Cote d'Ivoire, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica and Zimbabwe.

Her quilts are in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian, The Wadsworth Museum, Contemporary Quilt Museum, hospitals and corporations across the U.S.A. 

Ed Johnetta has been featured on Simply Quilts, The Modern Masters and WGBH, Boston.

In November, 2009, she represented the U.S and the Women of Color Quilters Network at the largest quilt festival in the world in Yokohama, Japan.
