United Methodist Church Commissions Diane Cadrain to Create 3 Wall Hangings

Cadrain_GrowingCadrain_RootedDiane Cadrain is working on the third and final banner commissioned by the United Methodist Church of Hartford.

The banners will be displayed as an illustration of the congregation’s three-part mission statement, symbolized by a growing tree.

Seen here are Phase 1: “Rooted in God’s Love” (left)

and Phase 2: “Growing in God’s Grace” (right)

Phase 3: “Reaping the Fruits of Peace and Justice” is due on Easter.

Diane Cadrain is a member of SAQA living in Connecticut.  Her first solo exhibition of fiber art is on display at the Wethersfield Library Community Room until the end of the month.

To see more of Diane’s work in person, come to a Reception this Sunday January 23, 2011, 2-4 PM.
