Image
You may know Ann Nyberg as the anchor for WTNH Channel 8 News.  But Nyberg is also an active supporter of arts and theatre in Connecticut.  She created a website www.anniemame.com devoted to celebrating the Arts and artists within our State.  According to Nyberg’s site: “In Connecticut there are wonderous people and places I will introduce you to. This is a state rich in personality and in talent.”SAQA-CT artist Linda Zimmerman is one of those talented people who live and work in the Nutmeg State.  Zimmerman was recently interviewed and filmed for Ann’s web article “Fiber Art Taken to a Whole New Level”.  Linda talks about her passion for fiber art, and how wonderful it was to find other artists living nearby.Read the entire article and watch the video on Annie Mame: http://www.anniemame.com/2010/07/25/fiber-art-taken-to-a-whole-new-level/

Fiber Art by Liz Alpert Fay – at Peter’s Valley Craft Center (Layton, NJ)

Image
Quoted from: Liz Alpert Fay’s Newsletter “TEXTILE ART NEWS”Surrounded by vast open fields, flowing streams, and tranquil ponds, there exists a place where creators come to learn, teach, and share their art. Peter's Valley Craft Center, located in Layton, New Jersey, is currently celebrating its 40th year, and undergoing a rebirth under its new director, celebrated ceramic artist Kristen Muller. The center's 40 acre campus is home to the newly renovated Sally D.Francisco Gallery, a beautiful vintage building, complete with simple white washed walls, dark, hand hewn beams and wide, rustic floor boards.
