Hartford Courant Publicizes SAQA-CT Local Color 3

Local Color 3 is on view at the Windsor Art Center until mid-October.  If you have not yet had a chance to see the exhibit head on over.

Here is what the Hartford Courant wrote about Local Color 3!

Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill at the New Haven Lawn Club

The opening reception for Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill's quilts was earlier this week.

The artworks are dynamic, modern and beautifully displayed in several rooms including the dining room off the basement foyer.

If you go, driveway entrances are off Whitney Avenue, directly across from the triceratops statue at the Yale-Peabody museum and  off Humphrey Street. Park in the lot across from the Y-P and walk down the sidewalk lined by lanterns on shepherd hooks. Go in the door, past the reception desk on the left and turn right. Walk downstairs and walla! you will be there.

Windsor Art Center Announces LC3

There was QUITE a turnout at the Windsor Arts Center (WAC) Saturday for the Opening Reception of Local Color 3 including family, friends and neighbors of artists and a large number of community members from West Hartford, Hartford, Windsor and the surrounding towns.

A journalist from the Hartford Courant was interviewing artists and taking photos, so keep an eye on the paper at your doorstep and online for a little story about SAQA and LC3.

Thanks to the WAC for hanging our work so expertly. The artworks just sparkle under the lights! Thank you also for the WAC volunteers who handled all the details of the reception. And thank you to Wanda Seldon (WAC director) for introducing all of the artists who were in attendance.

P.S. Our own Cathey LaBonte is teaching a surface design class on Saturday, September 8th at the WAC. See the Windsor Arts Center website for details!
