The 68th Annual Connecticut Artists Exhibition will be on display until March 30, 2012.

It is an all media show, but fiber art is well represented.  Catherine had this to say about the opening “It was so good to see lots of fiber hung on the gallery walls and to talk to so many SAQA members in attendance.”

Congratulations to Catherine, and all the exhibitors!

Debbie Bein Wins Founder’s Choice Award: Infinity Art Gallery

SAQA-CT/NY artist Debbie Bein was thrilled to learn she had been awarded the Founder’s Choice Award for her work “Oh Say Can You Cell”.

Bein’s art quilt is included in the INFINITY ART GALLERY’s multi-media on line exhibit entitled ‘Lay of the Land: The Terrain of the 21st Century’. The show was curated by Flavia S. Zuniga-West and will run from Jan 15 – March 1, 2012.

Bein had this reaction on her blog http://deborahbein.com/artblog/:

This is an impeccably designed and executed general art venue gallery which holds open calls for work from artists in all mediums.  The award is a ‘portfolio’ on their site valued at $200.  This is exposure on the internet that can lead to bigger and better opportunities.  I am honored and privileged to have my work recognized in this way.   THANK YOU, Infinity Art Gallery!
