Cloth Works Exhibition by Sisters in Cloth, Opening Reception April 12 (Branford, CT)

Sisters in Cloth, Shoreline Art Quilters invite you to the opening of Cloth Works, an exhibition of fiber art at the Willoughby Wallace Library in Branford, CT. The show will be on display March 27 – April 29, 2105.

Opening Reception: Sunday, April 12 from 4 - 6 PM

Members of Sisters in Cloth include Alice Chittenden, Mary Lyn Page, Gina Frank, Linda Zimmerman, Diane Wright, Robin Wolek, Marie Shepherd, Ruth Anne Olson, Carol Ludington, Gail Kotowski, Yvette Howard, Vivika Hansen DeNegre, Debra Bento, Jannine Anderson-Bays and Barbara C. Adams.

The exhibition includes a series of pieces featuring linocut-printed fabric by Australian artist Dijanne Cevaal, called “Sentinelles”.

Several of the Sisters in Cloth artists chose a Cevaal panel and then stitched, embroidered, painted or otherwise embellished it in whatever way they liked (see one example by Ruth Anne Olson, below).

Our next SAQA-CT regional meeting will be at the Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library on April 25, 2015.  Come to the meeting and enjoy the Cloth Works show!
