Christina Blais Earns Honorable Mention in Grand Central Terminal Quilt Challenge (New York City, NY)

Congratulations to SAQA CT artist Christina Blais, who has earned an Honorable Mention in City Quilter's "Grand Central Terminal Quilt Challenge"!

Christina's quilt Meet Me at the Clock will be among the selected quilts on display at Grand Central Terminal this spring, as part of the station's 100th Anniversary celebration.

Sorry, she can't share a photo of the quilt until the big REVEAL in New York City!  However, we know one or more of these fabrics will be included in Christina's design:

GCT-teal  GCT-ceiling-natural-225  GCT-natural-350px

The GCT Quilt Challenge required artists to use City Quilter's "Constellation" fabrics in at least 25% of the top surface area.  These 4 fabrics were inspired by the decorative ceiling and rich history of Grand Central Terminal.

The Grand Central Centennial Comes to Life on February 1st. Celebrate Grand Central’s 100th birthday all day with exhibits, special offers, performances, notable speakers, surprise entertainment, photo opportunities and more!
