The exhibit at the textile museum features Smith's newest work, “The Tree,” completed this summer, as well as a triptych and four other pieces.  Besides her signature “line,” a design element that runs through many of her quilts, Smith is also known for hand-quilting all of her work.

The reception and gallery talk is $10 per person, which includes refreshments and a 2 p.m. guided tour of the museum.

The museum is located at 411 Main Street, Willimantic.
Hours are Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. To 4 p.m.
