Solo Exhibition of Work by Kate Themel, Opens March 1st (Cheshire, CT)

The Funky Monkey Cafe & Gallery presents a solo exhibition of fine art quilts by Cheshire artist Kate Themel. 

Kate likes finding beauty in ordinary things.  Her quilted pictures feature anything from metal gears to colorful frogs to her own family members.  “I approach each composition as if I’m creating an intimate portrait,” says Themel, “the subject isn’t always a person”.

The exhibition will run from March 1 – 30, 2010.
