The jury process is complete, and 44 artists – including Connecticut’s Karen Loprete and Diane Wright - have been chosen to exhibit their work in “Deep Spaces”. This show, curated by Larkin Jean Van Horn, will show textile works of a common size, 18” wide by 45” tall. The exhibit will travel to multiple venues over the next year.
The exhibition begins in 2 separate venues from Sept 5 – Nov 6, 2011: 28 quilts will be in Tillamook, Oregon at the Latimer Quilt & Textile Center and 22 quilts will be in Edmonds, Washington at the Edmonds Conference Center.
From January 10 – March 12, 2012 the unified collection of 50 pieces will be on display at The Sam Houston University Museum in Huntsville, Texas.
Finally from March 28 – June 24, 2012 the full collection will again be on view, this time at the La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum in La Conner, Washington.
