Connecticut artists Margaret Phillips and Diane Wright will each have 2 quilts on display at the Whistler House Museum of Art (WHMA) this summer. Included in the show are Margaret Phillips’ Mom on Vacation, pictured here on left, and Boxes. Diane Wright will exhibit Diaspora and Dusk.
According to Gallery Manager James Dyment, “The jury process was indeed challenging due to the superb quality of the art quilts submitted. The quilts were chosen based on technique, quality of workmanship, relation to theme, and visual appeal.”
Jurors were Mary Walter and Karen Pulaski.
The show opens August 10, 2011 and Special Weekend Events include:
