Hundreds of quilting enthusiasts from around the country and Canada will travel to Onondaga Community College to participate in the annual quilting conference.
Quilting by the Lake (QBL) is a nationally recognized conference with internationally known instructors.
From July 14 - 26, the conference will offer classes, workshops, lectures, and a quilt and merchant show to encourage the development of quilters.
During the conference, more than 100 quilts by QBL faculty and students will be featured in the Quilting by the Lake Quilt Show in Onondaga Community College’s Allyn Hall. The show will also include vendors such as quilt shops and merchants selling quilting materials like hand-dyed fabric, thread and sewing machines. Admission to the show is $6 for adults and open to the public. Registered conference participants, Schweinfurth Art Center members, and children 12 and under are free.
The public can also sign up for Quilting by the Lake Tour Days on July 18 and July 25 to receive access to the workshops taking place during the two-week conference. The cost is $30 and includes classroom tours, quilt show admission, lunch and lecture. The cost is $25 each for groups of 20.
