September is National Sewing Month

Liz Alpert Fay will have her work on display in the Stripes show at the Carnegie Center for Art & History in New Albany, Indiana from September 4th until October 24th, 2009.   Stripes is an international traveling exhibition of hooked rugs.





Mag_Cover On news stands now: Vivika deNegre’s article “Inspired by Nature, Captured in Cloth” appears in the Quilting Arts Gifts Holiday 2009-2010 issue.  Included in the article are step-by-step instructions for making Vivika’s raw edge appliqué birds.  Congratulations Vivika!





Hannafin_auctionquilt SAQA’s 2009 Benefit Auction – Bidding Starts September 10th at 2:00 pm!  SAQA has already received 214 donated artworks and more are on the way.  All the artwork is 12" x 12".  You can see them on the SAQA website:
