The Connecticut region of Studio Art Quilt Associates supports and promotes professional fiber artists and educators as well as quilters developing fine art skills.
Connecticut fiber art group Sisters in Cloth present “Inspired By…”, a collection of art quilts inspired by the members’ favorite artists. You can see them on display now at the Guilford Free Library in Guilford, CT.
Sisters in Cloth are also sharing their special exhibit “Sentinels”, in which members collaborated with Australian artist Dijanne Cevaal. Artists used Dijanne’s handmade ‘Sentinel’ fabric panels and used them to create unique art quilts. Panels were pieced, embroidered, embellished with beads and decorated within each artist’s style.
The fiber art exhibit will run the length of December 2015.
Opening Reception: December 5, 2015 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm
