Connecticut artist Barbara Barrick McKie has 5 of her best quilts on display in Objects d’Art: form and function at the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery of Art in Groton.  SAQA artists Rayna Gillman and Judith Larzelere have 5 quilts in the same exhibition, which features art by 16 artists working in variety of media. 

Come to the UCONN Avery Point campus to see functional fine art including stoneware, woodwork, furniture, jewelry, glass works and fiber art.

The exhibition will come to a close on Sunday April 10, 2011

SAQA members and fiber art enthusiasts are invited to Colchester, Vermont to take part in a weekend of Workshops, Show & Tell and Studio Tours.

A message from SAQA-CT artist Muriel Stockdale:

I know it's very short notice but I want to invite you to a Mardi Gras party at Charlotte's Place 109 Greenwich Street, between Rector and Carlisle streets tonight between 6 - 8:30 PM. 

If you have not had a chance to see any of my E Pluribus flags yet live, 15 of them are on display there for the next week at least. 

But come down and eat, dance and mix and mingle tonight.
