Local Color: Inspired by Science

Studio Art Quilt Associates Regional Exhibition

Show Concept: “Local Color: Inspired by Science”. The systematic enterprise called science that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe touches every aspect of our lives. Whether it’s the ubiquitous smart phone, the breakthrough in cancer research or the discovery of new planets, science has an undeniable effect on and in our everyday lives. This exhibition encourages the artist to interpret one of the most vital aspects of modern societies in their own unique, individual style, whether abstract, graphic, or representational.
