New Venue Added for SAQA-CT’s “Local Color” Exhibition / Entry Deadline February 15, 2013

New Venue: The SAQA-CT Regional Exhibition “Local Color” will travel to the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, CT from July 1-31, 2013. 

The show will premiere at the Haas Library at Western CT State University
May 4 – June 14, 2013.

Entries have started coming in – Don’t forget to submit yours!  You may enter/register on line until February 15, 2013. (But that doesn’t mean you have to wait until the last minute!) Sign on to saqa.com and go to: http://saqacallforentries7.com/

Remember, we voted to have a fiber art show for our Region.  Now we need ALL Connecticut members to participate to make it a success.

SAQA Members Gather at NEQM for Sielman’s Masters II

SAQA artists from all around New England gathered in Lowell, MA for Martha Sielman’s gallery talk on January 19th at the New England Quilt MuseumSelected pieces from Sielman’s book “Art Quilt Masters: Volume II” are on display from now until April 13, 2013.

SAQA Connecticut’s Regional Show Local Color is a juried exhibition of fiber art celebrating the beauty and diversity of our State.  It is open to all SAQA members who live in Connecticut.

Diane Cadrain’s Fiber Art in Several Shows around Connecticut

Jan 19, 2013 “Masters 2” Curator Talk by Martha Sielman at New England Quilt Museum (Lowell, MA)

Please join SAQA-CT Artist Martha Sielman as she leads a Gallery/Curator Talk at the New England Quilt Museum on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 1 – 3 PM.

After extensive research, guest curator Martha Sielman returns to the New England Quilt Museum with MASTERS II, more spectacular works by art quilters from around the world. Like the first exhibition, this one is accompanied by a beautiful companion book detailing the work and fascinating lives of these wonderful artists.
The exhibition runs from Jan 17 – Apr 13, 2013
