Nike Cutsumpas Solo Show “Nature in Fiber” Opens April 16th

Connecticut artist Nike Cutsumpas will exhibit a solo show of her work at Danbury City Hall.  “Nature in Fiber” runs from April 16 – May 24, 2012.

Reception Wednesday, April 18th, 4pm – 6pm

The show will include many of Nike’s nature-inspired work such as Mountains and Trees seen here.

Nike_NatureinFiberCutsumpas has this to say about her artwork:

"My art is a creative expression of nature and all the inspiration that surrounds us everyday. I demonstrate these creations through the diversity of fantasy. Creating art with the color and the tactile pleasure of fiber is compelling. I make it to satisfy myself and hope that it will please the viewer as a visual feast of color, shape and texture, style and technique. A variety of techniques are used in each piece. Intuitive evaluation is always a part of the designing stage on to completion. New avenues and directions of expression and craft are always calling. I hope to visit them all."
